Kris is a Mental Health Therapist working at finishing their final year of their Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle. They are excited to pursue a career in psychology.
Kris believes that everyone is unique and because of this, the path towards healing requires a flexible approach. Kris considers themself to be an integrative therapist, using components of narrative, solution focused and cognitive therapies. Their two greatest influences are Internal Family Systems Therapy, and somatic therapy. Kris’ work primarily focuses on helping clients connect with their inner self, to help bring insight and awareness into the issues that brought them to therapy.
One of Kris’ foundations in their approach to therapy is the belief that we all have the capacity to become our own healers. They believe that, through that healing process, we can move toward a place of feeling more balance and harmony in and between our inner and outer worlds.
Kris has learned that there is something sacred in people connecting with each other, especially when vulnerability is involved. They endeavor to always embody this idea. Kris believes in using a collaborative, client-led approach with the understanding that the client is the expert of their life. Kris aims to create a safe and trusting environment where the client’s knowledge and Kris’ training in therapy come together to facilitate the healing process.
Kris is married and is proud to be a parent. Kris is non-binary and has two gender expressions. During their free time, Kris enjoys spending time with their family, playing music, doing yoga, and connecting with nature.
